Making Your Magnetic Supply Board
We know teachers love to be creative, and this project allows you to let your imagination shine! Create a fun backdrop for your display and change it up as holidays and fun events approach, if time allows.
Follow these steps:
- Pick out which supplies you would like to hang up for students.
- Select some construction paper or design paper to use as a backdrop and cut it out.
- Glue your construction paper to the base of your cookie sheet.
- You can also print out and cut stencils to place on your cookie sheet. These can be used on their own or placed on top of your paper backdrop.
- Once everything has dried, flip over your cookie sheet and place your disc magnets on the back before hanging up your craft on the whiteboard. If you would rather place your sheet elsewhere, just use an adhesive-backed magnet to secure it on the wall.
- Now that your sheet is hung up, you can get your ruler and start spacing out your duck-bill magnets.
- After you arrange your magnets, clamp your selected classroom supplies.
- You can also use disc magnets to hang up a mesh basket for special needs students who cannot operate magnetic clips. This can also be useful for holding glue sticks and similar items.
- Your students can now walk up and grab a writing utensil or other items as needed!
